Václav Dvořák graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague in class of Prof. Václav Snítil and he finished his studies at the Royal Danish Academy in Copenhagen under renowned Prof. Milan Vítek.
He gained many awards through various competitions: 1997 – 3rd prize in the Janáček Competition in Semmering (Austria), 1997 – semi-finalist of the Václav Huml Competition in Zagreb (Croatia), 1999 – semi-finalist of the Carl Nielsen International Violin Competition in New York (USA).
At present, he performs as a soloist and teaches at the Janáček Academy of Music in Brno and he is also the leader of the Doležal Quartet.
